Are you ready for some of the hottest sci-fi off-planet babes?
Over the last few months I’ve really been getting really into my Sci-Fi again. Over the years I’ve always watched some great sci-fi programs on tv. I was the type of person that used to watch Star Trek TNG with my Dad while I was growing up and because he liked it, I grew to like it too.
The thing is, it does not stop there. Once you’re exposed to sc-fi and watch enough of it, you’ll find that any preconceptions or shame that you may have from your peers, would go after one or two episodes. Not only because the story was actually quite good. The fact that a lot of the items I watch, the stories are based in out space, so there is no limit to the imagination of the writers.
Not only are the stories good, there are tonnes of hot women in the programs too! If you’re like me then you’ll have grown up as a young man falling in love with the likes of Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi – Star Trek TNG) and Carrie Fisher (princess Leia – Star Wars episodes IV – VI).
So to pay homage to the women of the sci-fi generation, I’ve put together a list of my top ten faves! Plus it’s Sunday, bank holiday tomorrow, I’m a tiny bit hungover with a bit of time to kill! -:)

#1 – Jeri ‘humana humana’ Ryan – Seven of Nine
Jeri Ryan play the infamous ‘Seven of nine’ in Star Trek Voyager. She was once human then ‘assimilated’ by the ‘Borg’ when she was very young. Janeway (Captain of Voyager) rescues her from a Borg ship where she integrates her as part of the starship crew.
She is the clear winner for me and over a light year ahead of all the other ladies that sci-fi. If I were to go on a date with Jeri Ryan, I would love to ask her how she gets into that skin tight one-piece uniform or even moves around in it..

BEST FEATURE – Voluptuous and sexy
WORST FEATURE – If the she gets re-joined with the collective, she wouldn’t hesitate in sticking some tubes in your neck, infecting you with nanites and turning you into a Borg!

#2 – Jolene Blalock – T’pol
T’pol is the Vulcan science officer on board the starship Enterprise NX-01. She is a vulcan and has no emotion, but she is so hot! She’s maybe not pulling the ideal face expression in the picture either, but believe me, she’s gorgeous.
We all love her because she’s innocent, and knows nothing of the world other than academia. She would be great to win you University challenge, but not so much to go drinking with.
BEST FEATURE – Petite, intelligent, graceful and gorgeous..
WORST FEATURE - Crazy ears!

#3 – Katee Sackhoff – Battlestar Galactica
Since appearing in Battlestar, Katee has appeared in some pretty big stuff. Some of which includes the new season of 24, which is awesome by the way..
Her popularity on Battlestar was due to her cute looks, platinum blonde hair and the only type of deep character portrayal that you get from a real actress..
BEST FEATURE - She’s hot, she’s only human and she won’t kill you..
WORST FEATURE - Will we see her in any more sci-fi? Doubt it..

#4 – Natalie Portman – Star Wars
I remember the first time I saw Natalie (we’re mates so I call her by her first name..lol) in a movie role, it was in the film Leon. Since then she’s turned into a full blown hottie and rightly deserves the #4 spot.
It’s a real shame that she had to feature in Star Wars episodes I-III because they were awful, sorry George (see I know him too..).
She has her own kingdom, spacecraft, wig and lightsaber.. what more could you want?
BEST FEATURE – She has the same birthday as me 
WORST FEATURE – She would be too busy for a inter-stellar relationship..

#5 – Natasha Henstridge – Sil (Species)
Now I wasn’t too sure about adding NH into this top 10, but have you seen her now? Wowza, she’s gorgeous.. So she rightly earns her place at no 5.
She played a sexy alien character in 1995′s species where she would seduce men, sleep with them and impregnate them with alien DNA. The alien would then consume the human host until it was born.. yuck.. Or is that Aliens? I’m doing this all from memory to increase my ‘nerd’ kudos
BEST FEATURE - She’s beautiful, voluptuous and talented.
WORST FEATURE - If you were lucky enough to sleep with her, you would be dead a few days later.. grreat..

#6 – Gillian Anderson – Dana Skully
I grew up with Dana Skully. X-Files was always one of my favourite programs when I was younger. I’ve seen all the episodes and the movies, and can still remember the haunting titles music.
X-Files was almost like a warped Ghostbusters, but only two of them, and only having the occasional tete-a-tete with the government and maybe the odd alien, rather than ghosts.. So not at all really.. Mulder was a lucky man.
BEST FEATURE - If you lost your keys or got a parking ticket, she would be the person to figure out what’s what.
WORST FEATURE - Probably secretly in love withe monotone Mulder, so you wouldn’t get a look in unfortunately..

#7 – Julia Benson – Lt.Vanessa James
Julia, from Stargate Universe is my curve ball into this list. She’s obviously gorgeous, and lives on a million year old space ship, which is awesome, but she’s a bit of an unknown.
I know she was in one or two very crap movies over the last couple of years, but this is her first serious role. And to be thrown into nth season of Star Gate as your first season and first real job, she’s not a proper sci-fi woman.
She plays Lt. Vanessa James about ‘Destiny’, an ‘Ancients’ space ship, which the humans have inhabited trying to find their way back to Earth.
BEST FEATURE - She looks amazing from the side..
WORST FEATURE - She’s on a million year old space ship in the middle of some galaxy, somewhere and I don’t have long distance calls on my phone..

#8 – Carrie Anne Moss – The Matrix
The Matrix was an incredible film when it first came out, in fact the trilogy is still fantastic today. The brothers who wrote and directed it are geniuses. They are also geniuses for getting Carrie to wear that black PVC outfit.
Tighter is always better, but never going to be easy to get out of after a hard days running away from agents..
BEST FEATURE – She looks awesome doing the splits in the air and then seeing it from all angles.
WORST FEATURE – Always thinks it’s sunny when it’s not, so may have a glass eye..

#9 – Princess Leia – Carrie Fisher
Princess Leia was one of the first sci-fi girls I was introduced to. The first three Star Wars (chronologically) were some of the best movies ever and to have a little hottie such as Leia in then was like the icing on the cake.
She’s gorgeous, hates Darth (like everyone else) but may be in love with her brother..
BEST FEATURE – GOLD BIKINI!!
WORST FEATURE – Gold bikini again because she won’t fit into it anymore..

#10 – Tasha Yar – Denise Crosby
Tasha Yar was security chief on board the Enterprise NCC 1701-D with Jean-Luc Picard at the helm. She was part of the show for only a couple of years before she was killed off by an oil slick..
She was pretty hot as it goes for a mid-nineties Star Trek series, and even made love with a robot ‘Data’.
BEST FEATURE - One of the first hotties to appear in a post ‘love era’ sci-fi program.
WORST FEATURE – Tiny bit man-ish..
